The best way to start your journey is by using the PTV journey planner to find the quickest route to your destination on all forms of public transport.
You will need to get a myki card to travel on trains, trams and buses in Melbourne. You can also download the app to purchase a myki Pass with an online account and use your phone to tap and travel.
It’s important that you plan your trip to uni to avoid traffic, and try to take a route that stays off the busy roads. This usually means leaving for uni before peak hour traffic!
Please note that you may need a permit to park in some areas on campus.
Cycling to class is a great way to fit some physical activity around your studies. All Deakin campuses are fitted with active transport facilities, including bike racks, lockers, showers, and change rooms.
You’ll also find ample bike and walking trails surrounding each campus for when you want a more leisurely ride. Bicycle and walking route maps can be found on the VicRoads website.
